Adventure Ducks 🦆 is back!! The RLGSA organizes a series of hiking trips every other Sunday to several hiking destinations in Eugene, Lane County, and the Oregon Coast. Adventure Ducks was born as an initiative to: 1) explore the state of Oregon and 2) to provide a space of integration for our members and their friends as a community. Attention movie lovers!! The cinema club is back with tons of films to watch. The club meets every Friday to watch an independent movie from the Romance Language world, but it is open to new recommendations. Last term we watched and discussed Retablo (Perú, 2017), Quién te cantará (Spain, 2018), Laurence Anyways (Canada, 2012), Aquarius (Brazil, 2016), etc. If this sounds interesting to you, DM Pablo Serrano or Gloria Macedo. Fall 2023 is bringing back the writing/study group in Spanish for those who are looking for a “safe” place to share their ideas, projects, or texts and get some feedback, opinions, and even impressions from other graduate students in a critical constructive way.
